An embodiment provides a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) array substrate comprising a substrate and multilayer array patterns formed on the substrate, and a detecting mark, which is used to detect the size or alignment deviation of one array pattern among the multilayer array patterns and provided in a region of the substrate where the multilayer array patterns are not provided. The detecting mark comprises a detecting area and a detecting pattern which is provided in the same layer as the array pattern to be detected, the detecting pattern is located within the detecting area, and the detecting pattern has transmissivity or reflectivity different from that of the remaining area in the detecting area other than the detecting pattern.

[Also in Group XXXVIII] Vibration of a rotating body causes the spot produced by a beam of radiation to traverse a semi-conductor assembly comprising a centre zone of one conductivity flanked by two zones of opposite conductivity, the electrical signals produced are proportional to the magnitude of vibration. Fig. 3 shows the rotating body 69, the bearings 57 and 71 are seismically supported by the flat springs 63, 65, 75 and 77. Light beams 11A and 11B from the sources 1A and 1B are concentrated by the lens systems 15A and 15B and reflected on to the semiconductor assemblies 3A and 3B by the reflecting surfaces 61 and 73 attached to the bearings. In operation the seismic mounting allows vibration in a plane substantially parallel to the base 67, the reflecting surfaces move towards and away from the light sources causing the spot at which the reflected light beam strikes to traverse the semi-conductor assemblies. The apparatus is dimensioned to limit the traverse to the centre zones 7A and 7B of the assemblies. The output voltages produced across the loads 17A and 17B are indicative of the magnitude of vibration. In a second embodiment a pellet of radio-active material, producing alpha, beta or gamma rays, is inserted in the bearing housing, a beam of radiation escapes via a small hole in the housing and operates on the semi-conductor assembly.

In the bonding method, a cutout part is formed in a substrate which is composed of a glass or a semiconductor, a metal thin film is formed on the substrate, the cutout part is cut, the block 24 which is provided with the metal thin film 23 on the surface and the side face and which is composed of the glass or the semiconductor is formed, the metal thin film 23 on the block 24 is placed on the metal base stand 25, and a soldering operation is performed to be a fillet shape by using a solder 26.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assay kit for pre-transfusion blood group matching between two blood samples.SOLUTION: A kit includes at least two assemblies corresponding to first and the second blood samples, each assembly having at least two test units (1). Each test unit (1) includes a reagent containing an antibody capable of binding to an antigen present on erythrocytes, and a membrane (2) that is permeable to free erythrocytes and impermeable to hemagglutinated erythrocytes. An antibody contained in the first test unit for both the first assembly and second assembly corresponds to a first blood group, and an antibody contained in the second test units for both the first assembly and second assembly corresponds to a second blood group. This invention relates to a procedure for the controlled production or for the modification of polymeric products using IR-ATR spectroscopy, wherein the case of a polymerization reaction the extinction is determined of the characteristic IR absorption bands for the monomer used and the resulting polymeric product or in the case of a polymer modification the characteristic IR absorption bands of the starting material used and of the modified polymeric product are determined, the degree of conversion or the degree of modification is calculated from the absorption bands, and when the desired degree of conversion or the desired degree of modification is reached the reaction is stopped by suitable measures. By means of the procedure, which is described according to the invention, it is possible to carry out polymerization reactions or the modification of polymeric products to the desired degree of conversion or degree of modification by means of IR-ATR spectroscopy, without high technical expenditure and under accurately controlled conditions.

Micro- or nano-pores are produced in a membrane for various applications including filtration and sorting functions. Pores with at least one cross-sectional dimension in or near the nano-scale are provided. Device designs and processing allow for the use of thin film disposition and nano- imprinting or nano-molding to produce arrays of nano-pores in membrane materials functioning in applications such as filtration membranes, drug application/control structures, body fluid sampling structures, and sorting membranes. The nano-imprinting or nano-molding approach is utilized to create nano-elements in an organic or inorganic mold material with at least one nano- element cross-sectional dimension in or close to the nano-scale. These nano-elements can be in various shapes including slits, cones, columns, domes, and hemispheres. Selon l'invention, des micropores ou des nanopores sont produits dans une membrane pour diverses applications, comprenant des fonctions de filtration et de tri. Des pores présentant au moins une dimension de section transversale dans ou à proximité de l'échelle nanométrique sont décrits.
