The method of spectral photometric film thickness measurement involves the reflection of transmission of polychromatic light. A spectrally sensitive electronic component is used to perform intensity dependent measurement of the variations in the spectral composition of the polychromatic light reflected or transmitted by the transparent or partially transparent film. The electronic component converts the spectral composition variation measured into up to three electrical signals. The polychromatic light can be spectrally modulated and can be homogeneously applied over the entire surface or focussed onto specific regions. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables rapid, non-destructive measurement in all types of thin film mfr. including material coating, microelectronics and optics. Can be implemented accurately, facilitating real-time control.

Provided in the present invention are a kit for auxiliary diagnosis of cancer, especially liver cancer or digestive tract cancer, based on the protein marker PSG3, and a use thereof. Also provided in the present invention is a monoclonal antibody against the PSG3 protein produced by the hybridoma cell strain CGMCC NO.11597 or CGMCC NO.11598. These two monoclonal antibodies can be used for in vitro detection of PSG3 proteins and auxiliary diagnosis of liver cancer or digestive tract cancer. La présente invention porte sur un kit pour le diagnostic auxiliaire d'un cancer, en particulier un cancer du foie ou un cancer du tractus digestif, basé sur le marqueur protéinique PSG3 et son utilisation. L'invention concerne également un anticorps monoclonal contre la protéine PSG3 produit par la souche cellulaire d'hybridome CGMCC NO.11597 ou CGMCC NO.11598. Resistance thermometer with linear characteristic consists of an electrically insulating substrate with a metal thin film resistor, consisting of Rh or Ir. Pref. Rh or Ir films are applied by cathodic sputtering with Kr and/or Xe or a gas mixt. contg. min. 50 vol.% Kr and/or Xe as operating gas and a bias is applied to the substrate during the deposition process. The metal films are then tempered in an inert atmos. Thermometer has a stable linear characteristics up to 500 deg.C and has a high temp. coefft. of resistance similar to that of the Pt resistance thermometer.

1479925 Measuring gas concentration electrically WESTFALISCHE BERGGEWERKSCHAFTSKASSE 24 Aug 1974 37347/74 Heading G1N A method, for determining the concentration of carbon monoxide or methane in a mixture of gases, involves use of a metal oxide semi-conductor (MOS) 2 having a heating coil 7 energized from a current source 8 though a switch 9 actuated by a control 10 so that the temperature of the semiconductor is varied between two given temperatures at predetermined intervals. For example the lower temperature is above -20‹C and the higher temperature is below 800‹C. In a preferred embodiment the lower temperature is ambient temperature. The relay 11 is actuated to be open when the switch 9 is closed and vice-versa. Since the speed of reaction of methane and other hydrocarbons on the surface of the oxide semi-conductor is lower at low temperatures than is that of carbon monoxide, the latter is indicated at temperatures in the normal ambient range whilst at higher temperatures the variation in resistance of the semi-conductor is determined mainly by methane. In an alternative embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) a permanently heated MOS (16), in parallel with the first (2), is provided for compensation of cross-sensitivity against methane. Alternatively Fig. 3 (not shown), the second permanently-heated MOS may be substituted for the series measuring resistor 3 shown in Fig. 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high purity cobalt salt or manganese one at high yield and to produce an agent for forming thin film for thermistors capable of forming thin film which is homogeneous, dense and free from the occurrence of cracks. SOLUTION: A cobalt carboxylate having 4-9 atoms of carbon is obtained by reacting cobalt(II) formate dihydrate and/or cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate with a 4-9C carboxylic acid in a mixed state. A manganese carboxylate having 4-9 atoms of carbon is obtained by reacting manganese(II) formate dihydrate and/or manganese(II) acetate tetrahydrate with a 4-9C carboxylic acid in a mixed state. The 4-9C carboxylic acid is mixed with cobalt(II) formate dihydrate, cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate, manganese(II) formate dihydrate or manganese(II) acetate tetrahydrate in >=2 times mol quantity of them.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic ion detecting material capable of easily detecting a metallic ion different in a type from a conventional colorimetric analysis material using an ion recognizing substrate joined to a polymer at an analysis site.

SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a nanocomposite thin film of an ionic organic reagent and a particulate having electric charge of a nano-order, is constituted by filtering a generated nanocomposite dispersion liquid by a membrane filter by electrostatically attracting the bionic organic reagent by mixing an aqueous solution of the ionic organic reagent with a particulate dispersing liquid, or covering the filter with a nano-composite by being impregnated into the filter. This invention includes its nanocomposite thin film and the metallic ion detecting material. This invention can provide a stably held film type simple metallic ion detecting material by forming the ionic organic reagent as a thin film.

A method of and an apparatus for measuring the abrasiveness of a floppy disc are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a head 7 adapted to be urged into contact with a floppy disc whilst the head and the disc move relative to each other. The surface 2 of the head which is urged into contact with the floppy disc is provided with a thin film of electrically conductive material e.g. of nickel-chrome alloy 100 to 400 A thick. Means are provided for measuring the electrical resistance of the thin film on the head and thus change in the film's electrical resistance can be monitored. Such change is related to the abrasiveness of the disc and calculations can be undertaken to determine the abrasiveness from the change in resistance measured. As described the head comprises an alumina ceramic substrate 1 with a flat upper surface 2 bounding a recess 3. Leads 6 are soldered to nickel-coated regions 5 connected to the alloy film. Temperature variations are compensated by supplying the head 7 and a resistor 13 at the same temperature in series from a constant current source 8.

A device and method for simulating the effect of a two-stage supercharging pressure end or a turbo end bypass on spray characteristics. The device comprises a pressure end bypass simulation system, a volume-variable incendiary device, and a spray photographing system. The planar laser induced fluorescence exciplex technique is used to study the effects of a pressure end or a turbo end bypass on atomization, mixture, development history, concentration distribution, and micro characteristics. The technique realistically simulates the effects of the pressure end or the turbo end bypass on spray characteristics when a piston (27) approaches a top dead center, and provides theoretical data support for in-depth study of atomization and mixture improvement after using the pressure or turbo end bypass to achieve efficient clean combustion. L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant de simuler l'effet d'une extrémité de pression de suralimentation à deux étages ou d'une dérivation d'extrémité turbo sur des caractéristiques de pulvérisation.
