The method comprises: training a WiFi object identification model in an indoor environment having a WiFi signal by using an artificial intelligence method, the WiFi object identification model being used for identifying the postures of objects and/or the number of objects; obtaining a WiFi signal of an indoor environment to be detected; and inputting the obtained WiFi signal into the WiFi object identification model for identification so as to obtain the postures and/or number of the objects in the indoor environment to be detected. According to the present invention, the postures, number and other information of people or other objects in an indoor environment are detected in a wall-penetrating or partition manner by combining the penetrating propagation characteristic of a WiFi signal and an artificial intelligence method. Therefore, the postures, number and other information of people in an indoor environment such as a room can be known in advance before entrance to the indoor environment such as the room, thereby reducing the risk of entering the indoor environment such as the room.
